About Elda Koro
Elda Koro is a Gold Coast–based contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the intersection of sound, colour and perception.
Elda experiences music through chromesthesia - a rare form of synesthesia in which sound involuntarily evokes colour, movement, light, texture and space.
Her current practice transforms these sensory experiences into immersive abstract paintings through colour, rhythm, gesture and layered texture. Rather than illustrating music, Elda paints what she sees and feels when she hears it, creating works that occupy the space between sound and image.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from RMIT and more than three decades of creative practice spanning visual art, design and digital media, Elda brings both artistic intuition and a deep understanding of visual communication to her work.
Her current body of work, Symphony of Colour, marks a significant new chapter in her practice—inviting viewers to experience music through another way of seeing.
